About

Hello! Welcome to my page.

I have been teaching and tutoring since I qualified as a primary teacher in 2002. I have an honours degree in psychology and a postgraduate certificate in primary education. I have worked in many different primary schools in different areas, in all age ranges, with a focus more on Key Stage 2. I currently teach part time in a local school in Tonbridge, run a home-education group working towards maths GCSE and, of course, tutor!

I also run 11 plus revision courses each Easter and summer at Tonbridge school (as part of Recre8); organise and run 11 plus mocks several times a year; work for the NFER as an advisor and trial administrator; and I also mark the Key Stage 2 SATs each year. In addition, I create and sell my own teaching resources and tests.

Though I have always tutored, my business became my main focus 4 years ago when I decided that this was an area that I really wanted to focus on and that I could specialise in. I am passionate about ensuring that each child has an opportunity to excel, and that this often works best on an individual level. I try hard to get to know each child, tailoring sessions to their learning style, interests and needs.

I have three teenage girls of my own, and two greyhounds! When not working or driving my children around, I enjoy walking, running and generally being outdoors.
